Wide range of testing and measuring equipment

Sikora, Germany, manufactures the Inline 2000 series of measurement and test devices, for production lines for LAN and RF cables, coaxial and telephone cables, automotive and building wires, and optical fibres. The Centerview 2000 offers real non-contact 8-point eccentricity measurement, 4-axis diameter measurement and 8-point ovality calculation in one device, with no need for a guiding roll. The gauge head centres itself automatically and ensures precise measurements. Laser 2000 T offers accurate 3-axes measurement of the outer diameter, including minimum and maximum values and ovality with the direction or angle of the variation, in real time.

Capacitance 2000 is a capacitance measuring tube with multi-zone electrode, and offers capacitance measurement with high precision, all digital analysis of short time capacitance variations, extremely fast updates of measured values, and bare wire detection.

Lump 2000 T provides reliable 3-axes lump/neck-down detection, and uses double sensor technology to detect punctual imperfections in the surface, even at a production line speeds of up to 3,000m/min. Spark 2000 is available in the UL version for high frequency spark testing, plus DC and BS versions, and ensures reliable detection of defects in the insulation of wires and cables.

For the measurement at MV, HV and EHV extrusion lines Sikora offers the X-Ray 8000, an X-ray based measuring system which determines the wall thickness and eccentricity of the inner semiconductor, the insulation and the outer semiconductor of the cable, the outer diameter and the ovality. The Sixray 8000 is developed for the use on Sioplas lines. The CSS 2 offers continuous purity control of XLPE insulation.

Sikora’s Ecocontrol 2000 is an advanced processor system that includes digital and graphical visualisation of the measured values, and an automatic control for diameter or wall thickness, and provides statistics, trending functions, data collection and report printouts.

A touch screen, combined with an active TFT colour monitor provides an easy-to-use operating environment for the selection of the nominal values and tolerances.

For high product quality and precision, at simultaneously the lowest possible compound consumption, Sikora offers the Set Point control processor and the hot/cold module HC 2000.

Ecocontrol 1000 provides a control interface for the diameter gauge heads of the Laser 2000 series, the Centerview 2000 eccentricity/diameter measuring systems, and the Sikora capacitance measuring tubes, lump detectors and spark testers.

Sikora has also responded to customer interest in a ‘Lite’ version of the Ecocontrol with flash disk and based on Windows XPe. The Ecocontrol 1000 is available in standard wall thickness and single gauge applications. Remote 2000 is a powerful universal processor based system suitable for panel mounting or for installation on the gauge head support. It provides a selectable display of either the average diameter X, Y, Z, or the ovality, and allows the setting of tolerances for all values.

Display 2000 serves as a display unit for the diameter measuring equipment of the Laser 2000 series. It can be connected directly to the gauge head or to the Remote 2000 and the Ecocontrol 1000/2000 as an additional display.
